Established in 1950, the Hong Kong Red Cross is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and the world’s humanitarian network serving over 190 countries.

The Hong Kong Red Cross Health Emergency Response Unit service was established in 2006 targeting to deploy highly qualified volunteers to provide humanitarian medical service worldwide.  Over the past years, a total of over 150 person-times of trained medical personnel have been deployed to the frontline to respond to various emergency operations including the Philippines typhoon Haiyan, the largest Ebola virus disease outbreak in history in West Africa, the population movement operation in Bangladesh, the Syrian crisis, the earthquake in Haiti and so on.

In anticipation of an increase in global public health emergencies and protracted crises, we are now recruiting volunteers with professional backgrounds, especially specialists and nurses practiced in emergency medicine, to join us.  If you are interested in overseas humanitarian medical service and serving the people in the affected communities, JOIN US TODAY!
